A Great Week In The ‘DMV’!!!

Jazz Buddies,

As the unofficial summer season kicked off last Memorial Day Weekend, straightahead/bebop Jazz offerings here in the ‘DMV’ were incredible this past week, including: (a) an NEA Jazz Master celebrating his 86th birthday!, (b) a Great Jazz Trio (twice!), (c) the Queen of the Hammond B3, (d) the Baltimore Jazz All-Stars, (e) a Young Lion on the vibes, and (f) a quintet of Young Lions… All in all, great music, outstanding musicians, good vibin’venues (no pun intended), and swingin’ Jazz!!!
